Characters is the 21st studio album Stevie Wonder recorded. He recorded the song Get It with Michael Jackson, who sings the lead vocals here. The album earned him three Grammy nominations in which he lost to "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers, Smokey Robinson and Terrence Trent D'Arby.
