Billy Cobham is a jazz drummer and started performing with his father at the early age of 8. After successfully completing his drum studies, he made a decisive contribution to the emergence of jazz rock and fusion. In the course of his career he played with jazz greats such as George Benson, Larry Coryell, Jan Hammer, Eumir Deodato, Stanley Clarke, George Duke and the Mahavishnu Orchestra and he played the drums on the groundbreaking album Bitches Brew by Miles Davis.
