Rare Earth was the first band of the label Motown that consisted exclusively of white musicians and also released big hits like Get Ready. Samples from their albums can often be found on records of hip hop musicians. Among others N.W.A, KRS-One, Peanut Butter Wolf, Scarface, Eric B. & Rakim. or Black Sheep used samples of their recordings.
